Answers to what fleets ask us most.
How much does it cost?
It depends on fleet size, update rate and hardware. Talk to sales for a quote.
How hard is install?
Bolt the tracker down and connect power. It registers itself to your account the first time it turns on.
What if there is no cell signal?
Trackers store at least 60 days of data on board, even at the fastest report rate, and send it when signal returns. FleetIQ Pro can also report over long-range Wi-Fi HaLow to a StationIQ base station.
Do I own my data?
Yes. You can export it any time, and we never sell it.
Does it work on Android?
The app is iPhone and iPad today. The web account works in any browser.
How often does the position update?
You pick per tracker, from every 2 seconds to once a minute. Most fleets run once a minute.
What happens without cell signal?
The tracker stores fixes on board and sends them when it reconnects. Where there is no cell signal at all, FleetIQ Pro can report over long-range Wi-Fi HaLow to a StationIQ base station.
Will it go off every time a tow picks up a barge?
No. BargeIQ is built to tell a planned move from a breakaway, so crews keep their alerts on.
Who gets the loud alert?
You choose per fleet and per zone. Each person can also set which of their devices ring.
Can I import my existing zones?
Yes. Upload a CSV with one row per corner and a zone name.
Do I have to replace my sensors?
No. FleetIQ Pro reads the engine data networks and sensors you already have: J1939 and other CAN bus engine data, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, IO-Link and more.
Does my tracker transmit AIS?
No. Trackers receive AIS and relay what they hear. They do not broadcast your position on AIS.
Do I need a separate AIS receiver?
No. Every FleetIQ and FleetIQ Pro has an AIS receiver built in.
Which vessels show up?
Vessels that broadcast AIS, with their name, MMSI, speed, heading and recent track.
Can I get told when a certain boat arrives?
Yes. Add it to your watched vessels. When it enters one of your zones, the people you pick get a push.
Can other companies see my barges?
No. Your barges and boats are visible only to your company and to anyone you choose to share them with.
How accurate is it?
Clearance comes from official bridge data and live river levels, and the captain always has the final say.
Which bridges are covered?
Every charted bridge on the inland river system, fixed and movable.
How often does clearance update?
Whenever new river level readings come in, usually several times an hour.
Where do I enter my air draft?
Once per boat in the app. Change it any time the tow changes, and every bridge updates.
Does it show on my trip plan?
Yes. Every bridge on the route shows pass or no-pass before the tow leaves.
Can one person have two roles?
Yes. Roles combine, so a captain who also dispatches gets both.
